Property Values in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros

PROPERTY VALUES IN THE SEVEN KINGDOMS OF WESTEROS Looking for a home in Westeros? What are you looking for? Are you looking for privacy, excitement, culture, stability, or a vast amount of frozen mass? Here's our take on the property values in the Seven Kingdoms. the North The vale Of arRYN The kiNgdom oF Isles aNd pivers The érowNlaNds The westerlapds The The reach ŞtoRMLaddS DORNE The North The vale of aRRÝN Market Temperature: Frozen Market Temperature: Breezy The largest of the seven kingdoms, the North covers everything south of the Wall and above the Neck including some islands such as Skagos and the Bear Islands. The Kingdom in the North had seen some better days. Once a proud and ancient kingdom, the North sat comfortably during Robert Baratheon's reign. Its property value peaked when Ned Stark sat as Hand of the King but quickly faltered upon his death and execution. The market had some promise upon Robb Stark's rise as king of the North but soon plummeted after the Red Wedding. The Vale is a tranquil land of rich black soil, wide slow-moving rivers, hundreds of small lakes and protected by its largely impassable mountain range. The Vale tends to be isolated from the rest of Westeros and is suited for buyers who are savvy to privacy and exclusivity. Property value in this area has peaked during Jon Arryn's reign as Hand of the King, and has kept itself more or less stable due to being the most physically secure. The kingdom oF isles apd rivers Market Temperature: Rocky 1 The Reach Market Temperature: Fine This kingdom can be divided in two, the Iron Islands which ruled this area before the time of Aegon's Conquest, and the Riverlands. Real Estate agents in the Iron Islands do not accept gold in their transactions. Buyers must pay the Iron Price. However, the Riverlands is a rich, fertile and populous area that is frequented by trade and battles alike. The property value here tends to go up and down wildly and is dependent on the political situation in the realm. The Reach is the most fertile and the most heavily populated area of Westeros. Ruled by the young and uppity House of Tyrell, the property value of this area is consistently high being the home of chivalry, culture and higher learning. Notable locations are Highgarden: the seat of the Tyrells; Oldtown: the oldest city of Westeros and home to the Citadel of Maesters; and Ashford, a market town. The westerlaNdS the ștormlands Market Temperature: Golden t Market Temperature: Stormy The Westerlands is the wealthiest and most defensible region of Westeros. The land is dotted with mines from which pour gold and silver in astonishing quantities. Casterly Rock, the house of seat Lannister itself is built atop a gold mine. The Westerlands is protected by various hills and mountains, and is only vulnerable through the Sunset Sea. The property value gained immensely by Tywin Lannister's post as the Hand to King Aerys II, and keeps itself stable with its sturdy economy. As the name suggests, this kingdom is frequently bothered by rain and storms. Being along the coastline and far from the capital, this area is perfect for a young wannabe smuggler to perfect a career in trafficking onions. However, recent political tensions and a shift of religions have not done the Stormlands any good. dORNE The ċrowNlands Market Temperature: Dry Market Temperature: Intervals of Clouds and Sunshine The least populous of the Seven Kingdoms, Dorne is the hottest region of Westeros and differs from the rest of the Kingdoms both culturally and ethnically. It provides many exotic products that are uncommon in the Seven Kingdoms. It has benefited from an active trade relations with the free cities and is relatively unaffected by the political problems of Westeros. Home buyers with more libertine inclinations would appreciate this area. The Crownlands has never been a sovereign nation but was a region being contested by the Riverlands, the Stormlands, and other regions until Aegon the Conqueror seized control of the area. It houses the capital, King's Landing with the largest population and harbor in the realm. Being the capital, the area is a bustling economy where every craft and trade is virtually practiced. However, the War of the Five Kings and the Battle of Blackwater Bay has affected its property value and having a King such as Joffrey Baratheon does not help. f /agentcampus /agentcampus agentcampus.com 6 www.agentcampus.com/blog/ References: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Seven_Kingdoms http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kingdom_of_the_North http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kingdom_of_Mountain_and_Vale http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kingdom_of_the_Iron_Islands http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Riverlands http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kingdom_of_the_Reach http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kingdom_of_the_Rock http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kingdom_of_the_Stormlands http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Dorne http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Crownlands http://www.dafont.com/first-order.font http://download.fontmeme.com/fonts/13168/game_of_thrones.html
