T have worked at the ESPC for just over a year. I spend my time in the ESPC Showroom on George Street and also in the Customer Service Department, advising people on the different areas of Edinburgh, different types of properties and helping them to find their dream home. Meet Fiona. any of the best memories that people have are often connected with a particular time and place in their life. It is often the case that this place is in their own home. Following the Llaunch of the exciting new advertising campaign from ESPC, we have taken the opportunity to do a little reminiscing of our own. Below, some of the ESPC staff share a fond memory of their own home, with Fiona proving that life really does need a great venue. PC lello! com My name is Paul Hilton. I am the Head of Sales at the ESPC and have worked here for about twelve years. Meet Paul Favourite Place NORTH My kitchen is my favourite room in my flat as it is where I cooked my first meal by myself. As with learning any new skill there was a little bit of trial and error. I played relatively safe and settled on vegetable paella. I was absolutely delighted when I lifted the lid to discover that it wasn't burnt, and even slightly Comely Bank Stockbridge CITY New Town SENT Dean Holyrood West End Old Town EAST resembled the WES picture in the cook book! SOUTH A720 Since this memorable occasion, my culinary skills have progressed rapidly and I am now proud to say that I am the owner My Kitchen for 4 cook books. Favourite Memory Tip 1 Find out how much you can borrow by visiting a member of the ESPC Mortgage team, then choose the best mortgage deal to suit your circumstances. Visit espc.com/advice for more mortgage advice. My mum, dad and girlfriend had the pleasure of tasting the paella and all gave it rave reviews, with my mum being particularly impressed at my new found cooking ability. Since this memorable occasion, my culinary skills have progressed rapidly and I am now proud to say that I am the owner for 4 cook books. My speciality dishes include a range of curries and risottos together with a wide variety of soups. Given a little more time, I think I will be well on the way to becoming a master chef. Meet Victoria I'm Victoria Cameron and I have been a Graphic Designer at the ESPC for a year now. Favourite Place Linlithgow My favourite place is my garden. Ihave enjoyed many a barbecue and lots of long summer nights here with all my friends and family. The garden is really remote as it has no other houses surrounding it so is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the summer. BATHGATE LIVINGSTON It wouldn't have been a wedding day without one funny little twist which kept us all on our toes - the boiler broke! My garden Favourite Memory Amongst many happy memories of summers spent in my garden, the memory which stands out as the best for me is the day my sister Kirsteen got married. We have a big conservatory which opens out to the garden and on the morning of the wedding, me, my sister, my mum and dad, the two bridesmaids and the flower girl all got ready together for the big day. The weather was perfect and we had a toast to my sister in the garden and all wished her luck for her wedding day. It wouldn't have been a wedding day without one funny little twist which kept us all on our toes - the boiler broke! So along with the well-dressed bridal partywho all had to endure a freezing cold shower, there was one other person who got to enjoy the celebrations... the plumber! Favourite Memory | enjoy chilling out and relaxing in my flat and I am most looking forward to having my three a nd a half monthold nephew Calum stay with me for a few days while my brother and sister-in-law go on holiday. Having racked my brains for ideas of how to entertain a three and a half month old, I think I will take him to the park and to the canal to feed the ducks as I have a feeling he might not quite be ready for whiskey tasting just yet. I am hoping that by some miracle Calum (at three and a half months) has learned how to use the toilet, as l'm not sure my nappy changing skills are up to much! Hi! I am Vicky Livingstone and I am the Sales Team Leader in the Edinburgh Showroom. I have worked at the ESPC for just over two years now and started off in Customer Services before I moved into my current position. Meet Vicky Favourite Place EA I have recently moved in with my boyfriend Kevin, and have managed to talk him into refurbishing one of his bedrooms into a dressing room for me, which I like to call "my room." I was given free rein to select my own decoration and fill the room with all my own things, so taking full advantage of this (and before Kevin could change his mind), I wasted no time filling it up with makeup, perfume, clothes and shoes. The number of homes sold through ESPC between June and August 2013 was 35.9% higher than during the same period in 2012. As the move into my new house is still fairly recent, I haven't made a lot of memories in it yet. The room was WEST A6095 A6106 covered in candles.. SOUTH A720 Favourite Memory My most exciting and memorable experience of my living room would definitely have to be the day my husband Willem asked me to marry him. We literally had no furniture (having just moved in) and having to go straight back into normal day to day life, I didn't have a chance to 'nest'. We saw a lovely old couch in a second hand store but upon enquiring we were told it was already taken. A day later I returned home expecting an empty flat and when I got home, Willem directed me into the living room where there was a lovely couch sitting there as a surprise for me. The room was covered in candles (which I thought was a little extravagant just to celebrate a new couch!) However Willem then pointed to the top of the fireplace where there was a little box sitting, I opened it up and realised it was an engagement ring. The rest, as they say, is history.
