HAVE HVAC INSPECTED This will ensure the system is running at its manufacturer-rated efficiency & will help keep the bills lower. TESTSMOKE DETECTORS Check and replace the batteries in your carbon monoxide & smoke detectors to make sure they're working in case of emergency. CHECK ROOFFOR DAMAGE Make sure that there aren't missing or damaged shingles on the roof that could lead to further damages. INSPECTOUTLETS Check all electrical outlets for loose- fitting plugs or frayed wiring. This can be a fire hazard if not taken care of. REPAIR WALKWAYS Check all walkways and your drive- way to make sure the pavement is even so that nobody gets hurt. CHECK LANDSCAPING Remove all dead trees and shrubs, and make sure that they're trimmed away from utility lines. CLEAN FURNACE FILTER CHeck your furnace filter and depending on the condition, either replace the filter completely or clean it accordingly.
