The primary motivation for most investors is to create jobs for American workers. 32% Want to lower the trade deflcit 24% Belleve American products are superior 11% Environmental roasons 61% Provide jobs for American workers 59% To help strengthen the economy 27% Patriotic reasons 4% Some other resson And, according to ABC's Good Morning America anchor Diane Sawyer, if every American spent an extra $3.33 on U.S. made goods, it would create almost 10,000 new jobs in the country. 10,000 new jobs But, even the best intentions only go so far. In the end, consumers are all about the bottom line. $$ $$$ 87% 49% 11% Would buy from local businesses if the prices were comparable Would buy from local businesses if the prices were only sightly more expensive were much more expensive Would buy from local businesses even if prioes It looks like unless local businesses can offer competitive prices, U.S. consumers will buy products based on cost, rather than origin.
