Following Japan, Chinese film companies produced 45% of the 20 highest grossing movies in China. China also had not pro- duced any high-grossing films in 2008. In 2013 the following genres were produced in China: 20% of the highest grosing films were action/adventure movies, 10% were comedy films, and 5% were drama movies.
