Mercedes-Benz BIOME This vehicle has as much in common with bacteria as it does any car. - The interior of the BIOME grows from the DNA in the Mercedes star on the front and back. The wheels are grown from four separate seeds. Genetically engineered to different customer specifications. The car would weigh around 394 kg plus would be lighter than plastic yet stronger than steel. Running on a fuel called "BioNectar4534" stored in the car's BioFibre, and its only emission - oxygen. The whole thing would also be completely biodegradable. RELEASE DATE: Unknown SUMMARY: It's grown in a lab. eHEremes 3-seater hybrid car, combining aspects of a 4x4 with those of a sports car. - Made of Aerogel, a material often used in space exploration, as a lightweight, insulating shell. - The material, which is 99.8% gas provides insulation against temperature and weather extremes. - It's combined with a carbon fibre frame to increase stiffness in key areas and to reduce frame torsion. - The car also provides a number of seating possibilities - when operated by automated drive passengers use the spacious lounge in the rear seats and when driving off-road or just for fun middle seating position for driving in the front is used. Taihoo 2046 A car design based on a stone (the Taihu Stone). - Takes concept from the porous nature of the stone by combining transparent and translucent features. - The interior of the car is designed using a flexible mesh which allows the seating apparatus to easily transform into a bed surface - effectively turning the car into a camping tent. - The windows are slightly curved so that they become a wrap around screen showing movies. Sadly underwater it maxes out at a meagre 3 km/h (1.6 kn; 1.9 mph) however. Metromorph This car is literally an extension of your home. - Never carry groceries up to you appartment again. The Metromorph doubles as an elevator. Not only this but it also parks itself to double as your balcony when it gets there. This clears up the issue of limited urban parking, and creates an additional living space as well. RELEASE DATE: Concept only (for now...) SUMMARY: No more elevator music. Unless thats whats on the radio in your car... Porsche Mission Porsche meets 'Minority Report'. - Porsche's traditional five-gauge dashboard is virtually rendered in OLED. - Eye-tracking feature that lets the driver select menus and submenus by looking at the desired option. The screens also move in parallax to stay visible no matter the driver's seating position. The HVAC and entertainment systems are controlled by hands-free gesture control. Wing mirrors are replaced by cameras that feed displays in the lower corners of the windshield. RELEASE DATE: Unknown SUMMARY: No need to remember to turn you wing mirrors in when parked on a road again.
