UK Jobs we Might Need in the Far Future

HOLYMOLEYJOBS.COM @holymoleyjobs UK Jobs we might need in the Far Future Cloud Designer Tech being researched could give us greater control over the weather. It won't be long before we can manipulate clouds to make them more effective at staving off global warming. If we can control the nature of clouds, someone needs to be looking up there and designing them with perfection. POD Traffic Wardens Personal Rapid Transport Systems (or PRTS) are going to be exciting: mass, world-wide system of ultra speedy individual pods that can zip through cities and around the globe along pressurised tubes. There's a bunch of jobs right there already - engineers, builders, mechanics. But, we also know what people are like when given a vehicle. Floating Farmer We're going to need traffic wardens. There is now technology that can allow us to farm vertically, in skyscraper-like buildings. So what's the next logical step from here? Floating farms that don't even touch the ground, of course. We'll need special Floating farmers who can Fly up and tend their crops. Cyber Tourist Guide Our web experiences will become much more virtual, immersive, and interactive in the future. So sites will need tour guides to show people around their sculpted cyber places. And while we're at it, how about someone to take care of the virtual gift shop and virtual grimy public toilets too? And now, Nano |doctors if you look through this nanomedicine is, ironically, big news right now. It screen, you'll see some humans consists of very tiny things, made of very tiny materials, to provide medical care to very tiny parts of the body. looking back at us from the Twenty-First century! And for something like that, we're going to need very tiny doctors to shrink themselves down and work with the nanodrugs. Thing-Doer These days anything can be part of the 'internet of things', and we'll have to install hardware into our existing devices that lets them connect to the cloud. We need someone to do up our things for us - you know, a thing doer. There'll be good business in fiddling around with thingibobs and doodads. Ship Builder Aerospace and ship building are growing industries right now, and British Space Programme can only get bigger. A simple spaceship will need engineers, designers, decorators for the interiors, and retailers that sell the perfect Furry dice for the cockpit. THINGS 0000 Printer Taster The next step being researched in 3D printing is how we can beat poverty and starvation by printing out food. That means there'll be job openings for printer chefs to create recipes for yummy printer food - and printer tasters to give that food a try before it's released to the public. mm, inky. holymoleyjobs.com/blog @holymoleyjobs
