Teen Alcohol, Cigarette and Illicit Drug Use Teens may try a number of substances, including cigarettes, alcohol, household chemicals (inhalants), prescription and over-the-counter medicines, and illegal drugs. Teens use alco- hol more than any other substance. Marijuana is the illegal drug that teens use most often. Alcohol Cigarettes Illicit Drugs 39% drank some amount of alcohol. 19% of high school girls and 28% of Illicit drug use among 22% binge drank. 8% drove after- high school boys used some form of teenagers has continued drinking alcohol. 24% rode with a tobacco at least one day in the month.- at high rates, largely due driver who had been drinking alcohol.
