Mapping the Consequences of an Oil Spill in the Arctic

In order to help Canadians and Arctic communities understand the scale and nature of the risks of oil spills in the Beaufort Sea and inform critical ocean management and planning, WWF Canada has commissioned a scientific study that models how different types of oil spills would spread in the Beaufort Sea, and how the spills would overlap with significant areas. For a selection of these spill scenarios we were asked to produce this interactive visualisation that allows to assess the impact a possible oil spill may have on the socio-economic and environmental resources at risk.
