SOCIETY CREATED ALCOHOLIC Since 1980, the penalties for driving under the influence have grown in severity, and rightfully so, but now on the path to restoring your license stands the possibility of Alcoholics Anonymous. If court-ordered AA is deemed necessary, exposure to labels like diseased and alcoholic could very well make a onetime mistake feel like a deep-seated problem. Remember: the decision to drive under the influence is always yours, but what follows may be out of your control. AA's literature, often referred to as "The Big Book," suggests a twelve-step program to achieving sobriety components like spirituality and powerlessness. Drunk Driving is a Crime, and People Must Take Responsibility for these actions. However our Society labels these individuals as diseased, even though they might not even have an alcohol problem
