Sleep problems for Couples from Warren Evans

Warren Eveans You're sleep waking me up too much! naturally Bedtime BATTLE of the SEXES Our study shows that 75% of British adults dont go to bed at the same time as their partners. Heavy workloads, differing office hours and hectic social lives are killing off the traditional image of couples getting ready for bed at the same time and clambering into bed in unison. Why can't you put your tech away! And once couples do get to bed they were found to frequently disturb each other whether by moving around or stealing the covers. Our study found that 87% of people who blame their bed size on their partner waking them are sleeping in a smaller bed – less than a king-size. SS Couples sleeping in smaller beds are 49% more likely to be woken by their partner 4 nights a week or more than those in king-size beds or larger. 51% will experience disturbed sleep due to their bed's quality and size and their partner's movements. Women are more likely to be woken by their partners, whether by their snoring (60%) or moving around in bed (46%). 59% will stay up watching TV and nearly one third (31%) will stay up browsing the internet whilst their partner goes to bed. Over half of couples (55%) admit to having kept the other awake whilst both in bed ... ... using technology, whether it's watching TV, working on the laptop or surfing the net and social networking. UK sleep study of 2,000 people, May 2015. Commissioned by Warren Evans.
