ROMANIAN MOBILITY FUND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR GOVERNMENT EXPERTS 1. The applicants of the Mobility Fund must be Governmental experts from Romania or its partner countries (representatives of civil society in exceptional and justified cases, when their expertise could add value to the actions of the Governmental experts); The proposal must respond to a direct development need of at least one partner country; The Mobility Fund is a funding instrument that facilitates the quick transfer of Romanian exper ts and expertise to meet the develop- ment needs of the Romanian partner countries in 2. transition to dem ocracy The activities must prove to have medium and/or long term impact The activities must have practical objectives and must produce tangible resul ts/deliverables; Focus will be placed on governmental institutions which have already good cooperation with similar institutions in the beneficiary country. agriculture and sustainable economic growth in the climate change context; 4. 5. environment protection and the prom otion of sustainable energy, health and education (secondary priorities). THE ODA PARTNER COUNTRIES ARE: the Black Sea extended region - the Republic of Moldova -Ukraine, Belarus -Georgia -Armenia -Azerbaijan; the North Africa and the Middle East region Egypt -Tunisia -Libya EXAMP LES OF ELIGIBLE APPLICATIO NS: -Iraq -Palestine -Afghanistan. Experience sharing missions; Missions that design/set-up new common projects or partnerships (Twinning, CBC, other EU financial instruments) Development of studies/reports. Participation in workshops/working meetings consultancy/ training activities provided that the applicants are being involved as resource persons and not as beneficiaries; The Fund is managed jointly by the Romanian MFA and the UNDP Bratislava Regional Office and is financed exclusively by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from its ODA bud get. 2. 3. 4.
