The youth unemployment rate is 2.3 times higher than the adult rate. Youth (15 - 24) Adult (25+) *From January - August 2015 A Simple Solution It's easy! Instead of charging ORPP premiums at age 18, raise the contribution age to 25. This keeps more money in the hands of young workers and makes it easier for employers to keep creating youth jobs.
