This infographic from Dupont identifies the top car colour choices in North America. On first glance, it doesn’t look too bad – it’s not a pie chart, after all..
However, on closer inspectio...
n there a few fundamental things I find wrong with this. The first thing I feel the need to rant talk about is the ‘Others’ bar. If you add everything else discounting ‘Other’ together it comes to 99%, so shouldn’t the ‘Others’ bar be the same size as Yellow/Gold? I completely understand the general reason why it has been set apart from the rest, but it doesn’t make sense visually.
