Interesting Facts about John Adams John Adams was born on October 30, 1735 in Massachusetts He had 2 brothers named Pețer and Elihu, however Elihu died during the American Revolution John Adams became the 2nd president of America in 1797 He is considered as one of the most important Founding Fathers of the United States, persistent in the battle for independence He waş 61 years old when he took oạth, he served as president for 4 years until 1801 He played a key rolę in major events particularly with French naval disputes, he succeeded in avoiding major conflict and kept America out of war with France During 1785 to 1788 John Adams was the American minister to Great Britain. Foreign relations were extremely difficult to maintain at the time, but he was a' skilled negotiator and served the position wll The first President to live in the White House was John Adams. He lived there for just 4 months as Thomas Jefferson won the election in 1800 John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were the only two founding Fathers that signed the Declaration of Independence and'then went on to become President of America John Adams dięd at his hometown Quincy, Massachusetts, the year after his son became president.
