Common to find book shelves By now electricity was being used by most homes, so too was the wireless 1960's 1980's By the 60's, cultural and technological changes influenced the home dramatically. TV sets became common Technological advances meant most homes would possess colour tv's cassette players and the introduction of video games Modern Day Britain 1990's The homes of 90's resembled modern day homes very much. advances on previous technologies continued, with the introduction of Sky TV and the CD player Contemporary furniture has shifted from 'visually heavy to 'visually light'.
