The Hiduron Family of Alloys

The Hiduron Family of Alloys Hiduron is a family of alloys that are medium-strength, they provide great corrosion resistance and have very good impingement erosion resistance. Hiduron is a Copper-Nickel or Cupronickle that holds Copper containing strengthening elements Manganese and Iron. Hiduron 191 is a popular variant Made up from: 4.5% MANGANESE 14.5% NICKEL 81% ALUMINIUM & IRON Hiduron 191 is a HIGH STRENGTH precipitation hardened cupronickle alloy Other characteristics that make Hiduron 191 great for a wide range of applications include: galvanic compatibility with stainless steels and other copper alloys great anti-galling values, especially when using the alloy against stainless steels no loss of impact strength down to -196°C a higher level of strength and toughness than nickel aluminium bronzes - strength is comparable to 22% chrome duplex stainless steels very good corrosion resistance in sea systems Hiduron 191 in numbers: 1030-1985 16.0 25 435 0.35 2.85 <1.01 148x10(3) 52x10(2) 8.53 Melting range. °C Coefficient of thermal expansion (20-300°C) kelvin Thermal conductivity at 20°C, watt/meter kelvin Specific heat at 20°C, joule/kilogram kelvin Electrical resistivity at 20°C ohn mm2/m Electrical conductivity at 20°C, m/ohm mm2 Magnetic permeability Modules of elasticity, N/mm2 Modules of dignity, N/mm(2) Density at 20°C, g/cm3 BND Tachart Ltd t/a Bolt and Nut Manufacturing White Lea Road, Swinton, Rotherham, South Yorkshire Tachart manufacturing bolts and nuts in Great Britain Tel: +44 (0) 1709 570212 Email: [email protected]
