TAKINGYHISTORY in just 17 months For the first time in the History of the America's Cup, young, talented sailors had a clear pathway towards competing for their country into one of the most prestigious trophies in sport. The Red Bull Youth America's Cup opened the door for young sailors from 19 to 24 to gain the experience they need to contribute to a Cup Team. Regattas took place in San Francisco, USA, in the high performance, wing-sailed AC45 catamarans, from September 1-4, 2013, during the heart of the 34th America's Cup racing season. We were the first team working on the Youth America's Cup project and we're very proud to have revealed the French sailors who flied the Next World Energy colors in September 2013 for what was : the SAILING'S PREMIER RACING EVENT for youth sailors. Thanks to allour partners, people we met along our journey and our thousand fans we broke down barriers, UNITE FRANCE AROUND A SINGLE SAILING PROJECT and shew that without millions dollars a youth team led by youth guns could reach the expectations of such international sailing competition. Since the beginning we thought about a future for FYT and we've been working hard on it the past weeks. Our job remains the same: reveal and help French youth talents to become pro sailors by enhancing and financing their sailing projects. We're a kind of INCUBATOR CENTER FOR YOOUTH SAILORS.
