In a country like India, where due credit should be given to a lot of environmentally conscious NGOs, a concerted effort is still a distant reality. While our markets are flush with Nanos, SuperCool ACs, energy guzzling washing machines and slew of consumer products, there is hardly any recognition for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of these mass consumption items – which makes every household a warehouse for GHG and carbon emission.
