Fake it till you make it Staying motivated can be difficult when you are not confident in what it is that you are doing. To build the confidence you need to stay motivated, act like you've already accomplished whatever it is you are trying to do. Visualization Visualize yourself being successful at doing whatever it is that you are trying to motivate yourself to do. The more realistic the visualization the more it serves to increase your confidence. Stay focused on your goals Fear can be a huge motivator, but if you focus on fear you can end up paralyzing yourself and not try anything new. Set positive goals that are concrete. Break goals into smaller goals Break that big goal up into small manageable and specific goals. These smaller goals are the individual day-to-day building blocks that lead to the success of the larger goal. Support from friends Others can help motivate you to reach your goals. Let some friends know what you are trying to do, and use their support as motivation when things get rough. Just do it Endlessly planning without ever acting is a common form of procrastination. Once you have outlined your goals and carefully considered your plan of action, it is important that you go for it. Don't get stuck in the planning process.
