Drakensberg

Drakensberg Drakensberg is the Eastern portion of the Great Escarpment, in ihe Southern African plateau. Drakensberg is derived from the Afrikaans name Drakensberge meaning 'Dragon Mountains'. The Drakensberg escarpment stretches for over 1000 km from the Easiern Cape Province in the South, then successively forms, in order from south to north, the border between Lesotho and the Eastern Cape and the border between Lesotho and KwaZulu-Natai Province. The highest peak is Thabana Nilenyana, at 3,482 metres (11,424 ft). The most popular area for hikers is Cathedral Peak. The mountains are rich in plantlife, including a large number of species listed in the Red Data Book of threatened plants, with 119 species listed as globally endangered Helicopter tòurs of Drakensberg allow you to see all the views Westline Aviation Drakensberg
