Google Glass is about to hit a similar junction, but rather than seeing an emphasis on picture-taking, sport-reporting, calorie-counting apps, the focus will be on Google Glass being used by people who do really important, life-saving jobs with both hands, and don't actually care how they look. This session will cover and explore the use cases developed by actual firefighters, police officers, EMTs, surgeons, and soldiers. If you're more interested in how Glass will make a difference in the world than how it'll let you creepily take pictures of people by winking, this talk is for you. We'll skip over the 1.0 apps and talk about how Glass might actually help people doing important jobs do them better.
