Both the concept and the graphic devolpment were created by us.
What we wanted was to offer the user different ways to approach news. The aim goal was to enable an almost endless navigation, where the reader wouldn't need to go back to the homepage to get to read a note.
The navigation gives users different visualization options.
They can filter news from a particular by continent or tags or see all 5 continents and relate or/and group news that own the same tag/s.
There is also the interactive option to navigate from a map and a timeline. The user can graphically view the connections between the countries and see what the hot spots of the day, week or year are.
