I've traveled a bit. Admittedly, most of it's been bumming around in South East Asia, but still. What constantly amazes me is the variety of transport that crop up in each place. Even though they are ...
similar, or have the same basic structure, the way they are utilized varies enormously! The crowds of India, the jeepneys of Philippines and the bovine cart-pullers all have an intense relationship to the people and have an intertwined cultural significance.
Besides all the socio-political blabber, they're quite fun to experience, and pretty adventurous too :D
