Purely because many of the restaurants that are nestled there will not break a hole in your wallet, and the quality of food is consistently high. A lot of the best restaurants in London are hiding in Soho, and that's where all the locals go, so go explore." Why does Japanese food have to be so perfect and so expensive? I know you pay for the quality, but money is an object to me, and sadly it doesn't buy much raw fish." Chef Nuno Mendes trained at El Bulli, and it shows. The restaurant is small, friendly and comfortable, and the prices are fantastic (especially at lunchtime). Sometimes it's nice not to eat centrally as well!" 10 Callum at Edgeandspoon.com Where to try something different SAF; KENSINGTON "Eating raw food is not that unusual for most vegans, but it can be a bit hard-core for carnivores. So, in that sense, the most unusual place I'd recommend would be Saf, which is a raw restaurant on top of Wholefoods Market in Kensington. Sadly, I have not found this branch to be as good as the original restaurant in Shoreditch which has since closed, but I have heard others have had enjoyable meals here." But if you're looking for a more refined roof-top dining experience, head to SUSHISAMBA on Bishopgate, which is located on the 38th and 39th floor of the Heron Tower. SUSHISAMBA offers breath-taking views over the City and serves up a fusion of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian inspired cuisine."
