RIGA DOME CATHEDRAL Riga Cathedral is the Evangelical Lutheran Cathedral and is the seat of the Archbishop of Riga. The Riga Cathedral is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Latvia, its well known for its Pipe Organ, which plays 116 voices, 124 stops, 144 ranks, and 6718 pipes. It includes 18 combinations and General Crescendo. You can enjoy a great 360° view of Riga from the observation deck on the tower top level floor. ■ 図 THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES It is the official science academy of Latvia and an association of the country's foremost scientists. The academy was founded as the Latvian SSR Academy of Sciences, the building is decorated with several hammers and sickles as well as Latvian folk ornaments and motifs. Being 108 meters (354 ft) tall, it was the first skyscraper in the republic and the tallest building until the construction of the Swedbank Headquarters in Latvia (121 meters, 397 ft).
