A Quick Guide to FCC Corruption

A quick guide to FCC Corruption The Federal Communications Commission is currently seeking to introduce a new rule that allows Internet Service Providers, such as Comcast, ATGT and Verizon, to charge content providers for faster delivery of their content. Such a measure would benefit ISPS tremendously, many of which operate their own content platforms, but would fly in the face of net neutrality, creating an uneven playing field for smaller, independent, internet companies. As many activists and journalists have pointed out time and time again, the Federal Communications Commission cannot claim to be an impartial player in the net neutrality debate. Its ranks are swelled by individuals who have previously worked for ISPS and lobby groups, which have an anti-net neutrality agenda. Furthermore, it's clear the FCC is a revolving door to the telco industry, with numerous former employees going on to executive jobs at Comcast and elsewhere. This graphic offers a quick overview of the incestuous relationship between the FCC and the very industry it's supposed to be regulating impartially.
