The company has missed consensus estimates for revenue for the past seven quarters, and its earnings are higher over last year only because of inorganic growth, and not because it is performing better. Even though IBM was performing well in growth markets in 2012, revenues in the last quarter fell 5% because of a poor performance in China. Furthermore, two major segments - Global Services and Hardware - have been posting year-oOver-year declines in revenues since 2012.
