How To Get Rid OF An Old Smartphone

What To Do With Your Old SMARTPHONES What do you do when your old mobile is due kor renewal? Bet you'll be weighing up fresh deals through your network provider and looking for the best phone you can afford giving little regard for the handheld device you've been using for the last couple of years. • Why worry about the old phone? It's dated, packed with outmoded technology and it doesn't look half as sexy as that new slimline handset you've had your eyo on for ages. The thing is, that old phone still has plenty to obfer and it could enjoy a different life. Just because you are tired ot it that doesn't mean somebody else couldn't give it a loving home, as we are about to explain at Total Waste Management. Here are ways to recycle the phone so you don't throw it away needlessly. What To Do With a Dated Mobile The first choice to consider is could you give the phone away to somebody you know? Possibly you have a family member with an antiquated Nokia and they would love a newer phone. 2. Sell It If you've only had the phone for a few years it should be equipped with newish technology and to somebody that's made do with a basic phone for years, it'll be state- of-the-art. Make a little money from the phone. Advertise it privately or use online auction sites such as eBay to get money for the handset. Be honest with your description of the phone though. Take a few pictures and as long as it works okay it should sell without any problems. 1. Give It To Somebody 3. Pop It In A Freepost Recycling Envelope There are plenty of outlets that will gladly recycle your phone and many pay for the pleasure as well. Look for sites on the internet to benefit from this option. You simply enter a few details, they value your phone and you send the mobile off in a freepost package. Then, all you have to do is sit back and wait for the money to deposit in your bank account whilst enjoying all the fun features your new phone! 4. Take it to a charity shop Want to give somebody the chance to buy your phone and raise money for good causes at the same time? Donate it to charity! Head to your nearest charity shop and don't forget to take the original box, charger and any accessories that came with the phone with you. The phone is sure to sell and you'll be doing your bit for a very special cause. 5. Part-exchange the handset Before you sign on the dotted line for a new mobile phone contract make enquiries to see how much that old handset is worth. You never know, the trade-in value for the phone might be more than you realise so why not pocket a little cash if you get the chance?
