WHEN A TORNADO DESTROYS EVERYTHING The sirens have silenced, daylight has come, and it is time to see the damage. What can you expect? EF-0 3-second gust of 65-85 mph You came out of the storm shelter to find bricks missing from your chimney, leaves and tree limbs in your yard, and some shingles knocked off the roof. EF-1 3-second gust of 86-110 mph The tornado ripped chunks of asphalt off your driveway. A branch blocked your door. Winds over- turned your neighbor's mobile home. EF-2 3-second gust of 111-135 mph The strong winds took part of the roof off your housé, an uprooted tree crushed your car, and all of your windows broke.
