Waste Management and Recycling

The world's most prosperous economies generate more than their fair share of waste and managing the by-products of these economies is a huge problem. There are a number of solutions, from dumping them into a landfill to incineration, compositing, and recycling. While recycling remains controversial (does what you put in the recycling bin actually end up getting recycled?), this infographic by the United Nations Environmental Program points out that it can go a long way toward addressing the imbalance.
