How will the PROPOSED WORKERS COMPENSATION REFORM Affect New York's Workers? 1 The Aggregate Trust Fund will be eliminated - making it harder for disabled workers to receive full pаутеnt. 2 Injured workers would be forced to see the doctors their employers choose. The Workers'Compensation Board would be able to regu- late the doctors that employers may offer as choices. 4 Medical treatments will be limited based on the employer's and Board's decisions. A change would be made to the way that wage compensation would be calculated. This means that There will be a reduction of benefits 1 for all hourly workers. Anyone who works two jobs will be prevented from obtaining full compensation for both lost salaries. 6 Injured workers and their legal representation would be unable to request the samejudge who previ- ously heard their arguments. The Workers' Compensation Board would be able to schedule hearings at any time, with any judge. 7 Appeals could be determined by any single Workers' Comp Board employee with a law degree, instead of an objective three person panel.
