A History of Karting Games Crashing Race Created by Taito, Crashing Race was an arcade game that saw 2 players try to crash the most cars to earn 1976 Pole Position points. Chocobo Racing 1999 This game was created for the original PlayStation and had a Final Fantasy theme. Crash Team Racing This was the fourth in the series for the PlayStation game but the first ever karting game to feature Crash Bandicoot. 1999 Konami Krazy Racers This was considered one of the Greatest Launch Titles in Handheld Gaming History. The Gameboy Advance game had a variety of characters from Dracula to the Cyborg Ninja from Metal Gear Solid. 2001 Jak X: Combat Racing This Naughty Dog spin- off of the Jak & Daxter series was created for the PlayStation 2 and made lots of references to the previous games. 2005 ModNation Racers Players get to create their own karts, tracks and characters in this 2010 Sony game for PSP and PlayStation 3. There has been much debate as to whether it's better than Mario Kart. Sonic & Sega: All Stars Racing Sega's karting game features some of their 2010 most popular characters including Sonic, Virtua Fighter and Shenmue.
