CONCLUSION Is there an obvious relationship between the frequency of use of twitter and individual swimming performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games? Based on the data compiled for this report, there is no obvious connection between these activities. Even though there were swimmers who used twitter to communicate frequently and on the day of their final race, they still managed to reach or exceed their personal best and win a medal. It is interesting to note that in all instances, swimmers increased the frequency of their use of Twitter during the swimming portion of the olympics when compared to the week before.
