Mother's Day DREAM Vs REALITY Being a mother is the most rewarding but thankless job in the world. Lucky for us mums, we get one day of the year where the world stops for a moment and says, "Hey Mum, you're great. Thanks for all that you do." THE DREAM OF A MOTHER REALITY WITH A BABY REALITY WITH TEENAGERS 05.30AM 7.30am Wake up, expecting breakfast to bemade, but the kids are still in bed. Sleep in 'til 9am. Wake at 5.30am to change nappy after an epíc poovalanche. 06.00AM 07.00AM 08.00AM 09.00AM Awake to a delicious breakfast in bed. Mash up bananas for baby's breakfast. Try to wake the kids up at 9.30am 10.00AM Open presents - everything on your list. Hubby gives you a gift from 'Baby. Kids give you a DVD of their favourite show. 11.00AM 12.00PM Sent off for a massage while kids and hubby clean the house. Grocery shopping with a crying baby. Teens escape to see their friends. You're left to catch up on overdue chores. 01.00PM 02.00PM 03.00PM 04.00PM Surprise knock at the door in the afternoon, delivery from the florists Try to put a screaming baby down to bed. Still waiting on the kids to arrive home.alone. 05.00PM 06.00PM Relax in the bath while the kids make your favourite meal for dinner. Hubby burns dinner and orders take away. You start cooking for your hubby. Just as you sit down to eat you hear the kids return. THANK 07.00PM YOU Over dinner, hubby hands you a card "Thank you for being the mother of our children. Hubby comes back with dinner and hands you a bunch of petrol-station flowers. The kids surprise you with a big bunch of flowers. REALITY WITH ADULT CHILDREN MUM Flowers Three days later flowers and a card arrive.
