Definition Regalia 6O The emblems or insignia of royalty, especially the crown, sceptre, and other ornaments used at a coronation. The Austrian Crown About Jewels Dates from the 10th to 19th century. Austrian imperial crown and insignia. The Treasury is located in the Schweizerhof of the Hofburg Palace. Location: Imperial Treasury Schatzkammer, Vienna The Schatzkammer is one of the greatest treasuries in the world. It's divided into two sections: the Imperial Profane and the Sacerdotal Treasuries. The first displays the crown jewels and an assortment of imperial riches, while the other contains ecclesiastical treasures. The collection is one of the biggest and most important collections of royal objects still today, and reflects more than a thousand years of European history. The British Monarchy Crown Jewels About The Jewel House at the Tower has been used for the secure storage of the precious ceremonial objects, commonly known as the 'Crown Jewels', since the early 14th century, when Westminster Abbey (the alternative store) was found to be unsafe. The Regalia includes the crowns of Sovereigns, Consorts and Princes of Wales, both past and present, sceptres, orbs, rings, swords, spurs, bracelets and robes. The Dutch Crown About Jewels Dutch Regalia are relatively new, having been commissioned by King William Il in 1840 Location: It was the monarch's private property until 1963. It was given to a foundation controlled by the Royal Family and not viewable by the public. The crown itself was made out of gold-plated silver in 1840, and uses fake pearls and jewels made from fish scales, glass and coloured foil. The crown has never been on display,except for the investitures of 1898, 1948, 1980, 2013, a funeral in 1934 and an exhibition in 1990. The Danish Crown Jewels About The primary objects are three crowns, a scepter, an orb, the sword of state and an ampulla (a vessel of ancient Roman origin for holy oil) Location: The royal regalia of Denmark is housed in Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen which was a royal residence until 1710. Certain pieces of the royal regalia are still displayed on very formal royal occasions such as at the funeral of a monarch. The crown jewels are owned by the state but are at the disposal of The Queen. The Spanish Crown Jewels About Some of the jewels were destroyed in a fire. Others were stolen or went missing during Napoleon's invasion. Rumors indicate that some others are hidden and lost at the Royal Palace in Madrid. The Crown Jewels of Bavaria (now Germany) About In 1806 when Napoleon re-ordered the European map, he granted the German duchy of Bavaria kingdom status. The new King of Bavaria, Maximilian I, commemorated the event by ordering that crown jewels be made. Location : The treasury of the Residenz palace in Munich. The crown was decorated with rubies, diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and pearls. The display of jewels, goldsmith's work, enamels, crystal objects and ivories in the Treasury of the Munich Residenz is the result of centuries of avid collecting by the rulers of Bavaria. es Imperial Crown Jewels of Iran About Consists of several elaborate crowns, thrones, 30 tiaras, numerous ornamental plumes, a dozen bejeweled swords and shields, unset precious gems, plates and other dining services cast in precious metals and encrusted with gems.
