On average, girls and women in developing countries walk over 6km /day1 15hrs /week. The time girls spend fetching water is time they are not spending in school. Profe to fetch and carry 20 litres of water. 1/2 of girls worldwide attend schools without toilets. The lack of privacy causes many girls to Worldwide, contaminated water causes girls to miss over 145 million days of school per year due to illness. drop out of when they | reach puberty.
