How Air Conditioning Works

Est. 1978| Carlton HOW DOES AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WORK IN COOLING MODE? SALES www.carltonsales.co.uk Evaporator Motor Air Handler Warm refrigerant from the condensing unit is turned into cold refrigerant at the expansion device and passed through a heat exchanger. Situated inside the Air Handler (3) it pulls warm air from the room and blows it across a heat exchanger, cooling the air temperature and pushing it back into the room. Condenser Motor Return Air Situated inside the Condensing Unit (1), it pulls ambient air across a heat exchanger containing hot refrigerant which lowers it temperature, and its pressure. This is then pumped to the Air Handler (3). Warm air is pulled into the Air Handler (3) by the Evaporator Motor (4). 2 11 Supply Air Cool air from the Air Handler (3) is pushed into the room by the Evaporator Motor (4). Condensing Unit Thermostat Comprises of the compressor, Set by the user to control the condenser & electronics, and is temperature, fan speed & any timers, also used to show fault usually located outside. It pumps refrigerant around the system, and also to and from the Air Handler (3). codes and check system parameters, depending on the make. 0000
