ASSEMBLE. Lay out the frame legs & leg pieces. Pre-drill and countersink 5 holes at even spacings on the inner leg piece. Make sure that 2 of these holes are over each front leg piece. Now screw the pieces together. Screw the blocks into the corners of the leg pieces from the outside using the 60mm screws. Fit the first 5 seating slats to the leg frame, leaving a 5mm gap between each. Ensure each screw goes into the centre of the frame beneath. The back frame of the chair will fit between the 5th and 6th slats - but don't screw the 6th slat on yet - wait until the back of the chair is assembled. Fit another slat to the underneath of the blocks To assemble the back frame, attach the back frame planks to 2 blocks using 2 x 60mm screws on each. Lay the pieces down and then screw the first back slat to the front. Once this is secure, screw on another 2 back slats. Turn the back piece over and screw the 4th back slat into the blocks at the top. Fit the 2 parts of the chair together so that the back sits approx. I10° to the seat. Mark out screw holes for the last (6th) seat slat and check it is centred to the holes on the frame. Clamp the seat & back pieces together & drill a hole through both with a 6mm drill bit. S.
