The United States of NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION Single unit housing represents 634,597 of the total 1,046,363 permits issued in the United States in 2014. Homes in the U.S. are selling at the highest rate since February 2007. Median home prices climbed 6.5 percent over the past 12 months. In Northeast Florida, permits have even hit an eight-year high. FLORIDA California's 50,711 permits in 2015's first six months made it the nation's fourth busiest CALIFORNIA state for units planned. TEKAS 85,474 units permitted in the first half of 2015 for Texas. One builder went as far as to say that he could build more houses, but there weren't enough skilled tradesmen to hire. North Carolina's high reputation has continuously been growing with 3 million NORTH CAROLINA new North Carolina residents over the past 25 years. Although the cost of living in Virginia is higher than average, so are the salaries and school district ratings. Known has "the best state in America" by The Washington Post, there's no wonder why Virginia is becoming more popular each year.
