For 30 years this terrible disease has taken lives and ravaged families. Yet progress is made daily through prevention, treatment and care. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIV AND AIDS? ART ANTIRETROVIRAL THERAPY The treatment of people with HIV using anti-HIV drugs. ART can both reduce mortality and improve the quality of life for people with HIV. 1.4 MILLION PREGNANT WOMEN 72% are HIV-positive.
