Swimming Pool Lift Requirements

Swimming Pool Lift Requirements Lift Battery - A rechargeable battery powers the lift, allows the lift to operate away from a wall socket, and alleviates the need for extension cords which could pose an o electrocution or tripping hazard. High quality lifts will have a user-removable battery for high-duty-cycle operation. Lift computer - This computer "brain" takes user inputs from the remote control unit o and then activates the lift motor in the appropriate direction. Lift Actuator - This component is connected to the articulated lift arm which causes the seat to deliver the user to the water. Articulated Lift Arm- Different configurations allow for varying ranges of motion and pool insertion orientations. To the greatest extent possible, joints should be anti-pinch and arms should be coated to prevent rusting. Pool Lift Components Lift Motor - The lift motor translates the electric power from the battery into the mechanical power used to operate the lift. Lift Base - The lift base provides a stable platform to which any other lift components can connect. The base also allows the lift to be securely anchored to the pool or o spa perimeter. Never operate a swimming pool lift when the base is not properly anchored! Serious injury or death could result! o Remote Control - To allow the user to activate the lift from the seated position in the lift chair. o Foot Rest - Designed for user comfort they travel into and out of the water. o Arm Rest - To aid the user in getting into and out of the seat. Lift Chair- Should be constructed out of waterproof materials and have a lap safety belt. Chair should also be self-levelling for optimal user comfort.
