RUNNERS: WHAT MAKES THEM GO WHEN A RUNNER IS ANTICIPATING A BIG RACE, THEIR BRAIN REDIRECTS BLOOD FLOW FROM THE STOMACH AND DIGESTIVE TRACT TO OTHER MUSCLE SYSTEMS.
