How To Understand Baby Cues

HOW TO UNDERSTAND BABY CUES LEARN AND RESPOND You should look for the following engagement cues Head in neutral position with eyes I bright and in contact with yours. Their sounds should be rhythmical Z cooing sounds that are pleasant to the ear. Their movements of their arms/legs should be synchronized or perhaps their body is still and focused. Disengagement Cues Head turns out of neutral position Taway from you as if to say "I have had enough". Sounds become more staccato, Z and less rhythmical sounding. O Movements of arm/legs become Smore a-synchronized. If they have gas, they either pull their legs up tight into their chest or straight with force. The ultimate disengagement cue 4 is crying which if you recognize the other disengagement signs and respond to them, you can often avoid an episode of inconsolable crying. 5 Arching of back - sign of gas pain. Overstimualation Cues: 1 Hiccups - babies get hiccups but pay Iattention to when they get them. Are they in a crowd, is there a great deal of stimulation, are they tired? A fake "academy award" winning 2 cough or sneeze - This is meant to get your attention and is successful every time.
