This work is completed as part of an infographics course that follows the design philosophy of Edward Tufte, a groundbreaking graphic designer in the field of information visualization. Some influences and inspirations for this infographic are Otto Neurath's isotype and Florence Nightingale's rose diagrams. The purpose of this piece is to aid people in the understanding of lung cancer, what exactly is lung cancer and what are the gender and global trends around the world for lung cancer. Some of the interesting facts presented in this graphical piece: 1 Lung cancer incidences are higher in developed nations. 2 There are more lung cancer incidences in male as compared to females.
