Birth Defects related to Clomid

Clomid linked to many Birth Defects: The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued a warning after an analysis of data from the National Birth Defects Prevention Study linked Clomid with higher rates of many birth defects. Clomid The study was published in Human Reproduction in November 2010 and involved women who used Clomid and gave birth from 1997-2005. Anencephaly (2.3x risk): Baby is born missing large parts of its brain and skull Clomid (CLOMIPHENE CITRATE) is used to treat infertility in women. It works by stimulating an increase in the amount of hormones that support the growth and release of a mature egg (ovulation). This medication is not recommended for women whose ovaries no longer make eggs properly (primary pituitary or ovarian failure).
