Though some of the depleted soils of SSA are finding new life, and many smallholder farmers are growing and selling more food than ever before, increased yields are only one part of alleviating pover...
ty and chronic hunger and malnutrition. Most smallholder farmers in SSA face the challenges of poor processing, storage and transportation infrastructure – forcing them to remain in a cycle of poverty.
