FOOD WASTE UP TO 1/3 of ALL food is lost or wasted WORLDWIDE This amounts to nearly 56% U.S. $ 680 BIL BREAKDOWN (~1 Billion Metric Tons) in developed countries and Developed Countries 44% U.S. $310 BIL Developing Countries in developing countries. "Millions of people around the world go to bed hungry every night, and yet millions of tonnes of food end up in trash cans or spoiled on the way to market." THE MOST WASTED FOODS ARE THOSE PEOPLE NEED MOST: NEARLY 1/2 OF ALL FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ARE LOST OR WASTED The food currently lost in Africa alone could feed 300 MILLION PEOPLE.
