FOOD NATION 2013 You can't deny that Britain is a foodie nation, but as the seemingly endless squeeze on everyone's finances contin- ues just how much are we dedicating to all things food? To answer this question, the team at VoucherCodes.co.uk commissioned a study into just how much value people place on one of life's most basic essentials and biggest luxuries. The following infographic shows how much the nation's cities spend on groceries, takeaways and eating out each year. While the average man consumes 151 takeaways each year, women place much more value on cooking at home, spending £285.21 more than men on groceries each year.
