Easter Recipes Cheap, Easy & Tasty You can easily create some really tasiy recipes this Easter using all different kinds of Meat. Take a look! Sausage Pie Pork Tenderloin Greek Lamb 1 leg of lamb, bone in 3 tbsp of olive oil 1 tbsp of sea salt 1 tbsp of black pepper 8 fresh sprigs of sage 8 fresh sprigs of thyme 3 cups flour - 1/2 tsp salt - 5 tbsp shortening 2 eggs 3/4 cup ice water 11/2 lbs italian sausage - 1 lb cheese (basket) 9 eggs - 1/2 cup grated - parmesān cheese 2 pork tenderloins, about 500g each 2 tbsp Dijon mustard 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp butter 2 red apples,cored and thinly sliced - 1 tbsp granulated sugar 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary - 1/4 cup brandy 1.) Preheat oven to 350. Sausage Pie 2.) Prepare crust as you would for any pie. Divide the pastry into 2 balls. Roll out one ball of pastry and put into a 9in pie plate. Set other ball of dough aside until filling is done. 3.) Cut the basket cheese into about 1/2in squares and put into a large mixing bowl with cooked and cooled sausage. Beat the 9 eggs, sausage grease and parmesan cheese until combined. Mix the egg mixture into the sausage and cheese mixture until well combined. Pour into the pie plate. 4.) Roll out other dough ball the was set aside and put it on top the sausgae egg mixture and close the edges with a fork. 5.) Bake at 350 for about an hour and the crust is golden brown. Pork Tenderloin 1.) Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside. Brush pork with Dijon and sprinkle with salt. Season with pepper. 2.) Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium- high. Add oil, then pork. Sear meat, turning often, until dark golden brown, 5 to 7 min. Transfer pork to prepared sheet. DEP PQUE 3.) Roast in centre of oven until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of meat reads 160F, 20 to 22 min. Transfer to a cutting board. Let stand 5 min. 4.) Melt butter in same frying pan over medium. Add apples, sugar and rosemary. Cook until apples are tender, 3 to 5 min. Add brandy and boil for 1 min. Slice pork into medallions. Divide among 6 plates. Serve with apple mixture. Greek Lamb 1.) Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). 2.) Rinse the meat and remove excess fat, if necessary. Season with salt and pepper, and rub with the olive oil. 3.) Score the meat lengthwise in four parallel slits, on top and bottom of the leg. Place one sprig of sage and one of thyme in each cut. 4.) Transfer to a roasting pan. Cover lightly with foil and cook for time required by weight. About 20 minutes before done, remove foil if the meat hasn't browned sufficiently. We hope you enjoy these recipes!
